Position overview

Apex Analytics Corp. is hiring Street View Drivers for an upcoming data collection project in the New Orleans, Louisiana area, completed in partnership with the Orleans Parish Assessor’s Office.

Street View Drivers will operate camera-equipped vehicles along assigned routes to collect street-level property imagery. Drivers must follow designated maps, maintain the required collection speed, and monitor the equipment to ensure data is captured properly.

Additional responsibilities include performing basic equipment checks and coordinating the shipment of collected data to our office for processing. Vehicles, camera equipment, and training will be provided.

Because this position involves outdoor photography, working hours may be affected by weather, lighting, and other collection conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate a camera-equipped collection vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes using maps and GPS navigation.
• Maintain the appropriate speed and vehicle position while collecting imagery.
• Monitor the data collection equipment during operation.
• Perform basic daily checks of cameras, computers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate the secure shipment of collected data for processing.
• Communicate progress, equipment concerns, and route-related issues to the project team.
• Work independently while meeting daily collection expectations.

Qualifications and skills

• Comfortable reading maps and using GPS navigation and camera equipment.
• Strong spatial and positional awareness in urban and residential environments.
• Ability to remain focused while multiple pieces of data collection equipment are operating.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Ability to work continuously for the duration of the contract.
• Availability to work weekends when project or weather conditions require it.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• GIS, mapping, photography, or field-data-collection experience is considered an asset.
• Military service or related driving and logistics experience is considered an asset.

Driver requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow both digital maps and GPS navigation.
• Applicants must be at least 26 years old in accordance with the company’s vehicle insurance requirements.
• Successful candidates must complete a criminal background check and driver-record review.

Contract details

• Approximately 8–10 weeks, full-time contract, with the possibility of an extension.
• Anticipated start date: As soon as possible.
• Pay rate: $20.00 per hour.
• Bonus opportunities may be available.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Working hours vary depending on weather, daylight, and project requirements.
